Manchester City is reportedly making efforts to enhance their squad with a notable move for Newcastle United’s rising star, Tino Livramento. A potential swap deal might be on the table, reflecting City’s commitment to clinching the Premier League title.
Manchester City’s recent 3-0 triumph over Liverpool has bolstered their position, securing the second spot in the league standings. They trail behind Arsenal by just four points. This season, City has strategically fortified their team by introducing seven new players, such as Gianluigi Donnarumma and Rayan Cherki.
The focus on Livramento stems from his versatility as both a defender and attacker. Known for his remarkable speed, the 23-year-old has caught the attention of Manchester City for seamlessly fitting into their strategic framework. Despite City’s interest, Newcastle is cautious, with Livramento under contract until 2028.
Interest doesn’t stop there, as Newcastle eyes City’s goalkeeper, James Trafford, who was reacquired for EUR 39 million. As Trafford plays second to Donnarumma, he might be a key element in City’s attempt to secure Livramento.
Newcastle maintains a keen interest in acquiring Trafford and has engaged in discussions for a possible transfer. While teams like Wolves have shown interest, Newcastle appears prepared to make a strong bid, should Trafford seek more game time.
