Under the new agreement, Rogers will see an increase in his salary, positioning him among the top earners at Aston Villa. This comes as recognition of his contributions since joining from Middlesbrough in 2024 in a deal worth approximately 20 million EUR. He has become essential to the team under head coach Unai Emery.
Since arriving at Aston Villa, Rogers has made 85 appearances and showcased his talent by scoring 18 goals and providing 20 assists. Earlier in the year, Rogers attracted attention from Chelsea, partly due to his friendship with their player Cole Palmer. Tottenham also considered adding him following Eberechi Eze’s transfer to Arsenal. Ultimately, Aston Villa secured his future, with neither Chelsea nor Tottenham making formal bids.
