Chelsea faced a challenging first half against Burnley, whose tactics surprised some spectators. Despite the pressure, Chelsea regained their composure in the second half and secured a 2-0 win.
The game began with both teams actively seeking opportunities. A tense moment arose when Burnley claimed a handball by Trevoh Chalobah during a Chelsea goal kick. The referees allowed play to continue, causing Burnley’s fans some frustration.

In the second half, Chelsea seemed more at ease. Pedro Neto came close to scoring again, hitting the post, only for Enzo Fernández to seal the victory with a goal shortly before the final whistle, ensuring a 2-0 finish.
Following this win, Chelsea maintains a second place in the Premier League, trailing leaders Arsenal by three points but having played one extra game. Meanwhile, Burnley is precariously positioned, just above the relegation zone in seventeenth place.
A concern emerged when Chelsea’s captain, Reece James, was substituted at halftime. While initially alarming, it was later suggested that this was a precautionary move ahead of Chelsea’s upcoming matches against Barcelona and Arsenal.
