Jadon Sancho’s initial days at Aston Villa are proving to be challenging. Having moved on loan from Manchester United to regain his mojo, Sancho has only made two starting appearances with the Villans. Currently, he is working towards full fitness, after missing preseason action in the summer months.
During a recent game against Manchester City, Sancho substituted for Emi Buendia. However, he was later substituted again in the same match. This move raised eyebrows, with some questioning his current level of match fitness and overall performance.
Premier League legend Alan Shearer contributed his thoughts on Sanchoâs current obstacles. Shearer advised that a change in attitude could be pivotal for Sancho’s success at Villa. He highlighted the numerous chances Sancho has been offered and stressed the importance of making them count.
Edin Terzic, Sanchoâs former coach, still believes in his potential. He refers to Ousmane Dembele as an example of a player who rejuvenated his career, hinting that Sancho could follow a similar path. Terzic even posits a future in which Sancho could vie for awards like the Ballon d’Or, should he rediscover his form.
Sancho’s immediate goal is improving his performance in forthcoming fixtures, notably an upcoming Europa League match against Maccabi Tel Aviv. Though not expected to start against Liverpool, Sancho aims to make his mark and assist Aston Villa in achieving success.
